ZIMMERMANN FAMILY

Pioneers of implantology in Croatia

Zimmermann dental aesthetic studio with its comprehensive approach to dental medicine and patients, relies on the tradition of Dr. Ivan Zimmermann's practice, the father of Dr. Marko Zimmermann. One of the first dental implants was placed by dr. Ivan Zimmermann in his office back in 1990.

Dr. Marko Zimmermann holds a specialist diploma in dentistry with a focus on implantology. He has extensive experience in placing dental implants and takes particular pride in performing complex prosthetic work on implants.

Zimmermann dental aesthetic studio stands out as one of the select studios that employ a personalised template for the precise placement of dental implants. These templates are meticulously crafted through a specialised digital "imprint," generated by a digital scanner's oral cavity scan. This digital data is then forwarded to the dental laboratory, where the template is produced. This advanced procedure, known as navigated surgery, ensures unparalleled accuracy in implant placement, setting new standards in the field.

WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT AND WHY DO WE USE IT?

A dental implant is a titanium screw with which we replace the missing tooth root. We can place a dental implant to replace one tooth - in this case we are talking about a solo crown on the implant, or we can place several implants that will be used as supports for bridges or fixed dental prostheses.

When we talk about complex prosthetic solutions on dental implants (for example when patients don’t have a single tooth in their jaw), the quantity of dental implants we will advise to be placed will depend on the quality and the quantity of the bone that the patient has.

The type of prosthetic work on the implants will depend on the number of implants.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS THAT MUST BE MET IN ORDER
TO PLACE DENTAL IMPLANTS IN AN OPTIMAL, HIGH-QUALITY AND PAINLESS WAY?

  1. Knowledge, education and experience of the dentist which places dental implants represent the basic prerequisit of succsesfull dental implant placement. It is important to consider who you would trust to perform a dental implant placement. Would you choose a doctor with a family tradition in implantology and a diploma from a postgraduate specialist study in implantology, or a doctor who has completed a weekend course for implant placement?
  2. Placement of certified dental implants with extensive scientific background. Today, There are over 200 different implant placement systems available to dentists in the current market. Each system has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. It requires expertise and experience to carefully select and place the most suitable implant for each patient, based on their specific diagnosis.
  3. With the gentle hand, preciseness and velocity to a greater extent it is possible to avoid most of the complications related to implant placement.
“If dental implants are well placed, if the prosthetic work on them is done respecting all the principles of the profession and the patient regularly takes care of his oral hygiene - dental implants can last a lifetime!”
